What we do with the data

Use our data

We collect data from the EIA, EPA, NREL, Department of Homeland Security, the Census Bureau, the Department of Energy, directly from public and privately owned utilities and energy companies and other sources. Every year we gather information on over 3000 electricity utilities, over 25,000 cities, towns and census designated places, over 3000 counties, all 50 states, and thousands of public and private organizations in order to provide the most accurate, timely and comprehensive information possible. We publish this data in an unbiased fashion. We are independent from utility or consumer advocacy influence. We are simply here to publish the data in a way that is easy for professionals and consumers to understand.
